AFI operates nationwide, with a dedicated team Mobile Service Engineers with their own fully equipped vans, comprehensively stocked with the most commonly used parts and backed by our extensive workshop facilities and stores located throughout the UK. Our technicians do the servicing and inspections on-site and provide you with an inspection and evaluation report of any longer-term issues that require attention.
All of our engineers are IPAF certified and factory trained by the major manufacturers.
Mandatory LOLER Inspections
LOLER stands for Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations and is a regulation that has been put in place to monitor the use of lifting equipment. If you are working at height the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) Regulation 9c states that all Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP’s) must be thoroughly examined by a competent person at least every six months.
Our LOLER inspection service ensures machine certification and authorisation documents.

AFI Annual Service
The AFI Annual Service ensures that the aerial work platform is maintained in good working order using only the recommended parts and consumables to ensure the continued operation of the access platform. We evaluate the machine condition and provide you with any advisory work required to ensure your machine continues to operate efficiently, reducing potential downtime due to breakdowns, and addressing issues before they arise. All AFI SMA plan customers receive a prioritised service.

Breakdown Cover
We offer a fast and efficient breakdown service in the event of machine failure. As a large MEWP rental company, we have access to a strong supply chain via our national depots, who provide service and breakdown back up and through direct contact to our technical service helpdesk we can provide advice to address minor issues quickly & efficiently.
Any SMA plan customers that need additional repairs and maintenance work not covered within the SMA plan will benefit from discounted labour and best prices for all parts and materials. All AFI SMA Plan customers receive a prioritised service.
MEWP Parts - Parts are available for all leading makes and models, fast access to OEM original parts and aftermarket parts through our links to manufacturers and major part providers and we ensure best prices.
Major Repairs - AFI has dedicated major repair centres and workshops equipped to deal with major repair work. Full overhaul/refurbishment services are also available here. All AFI SMA plan customers receive a prioritised service and access to major repair works at reduced labour costs across the business, including crane works.

We know how important it can be to get the right machine in the right colour. Whether you are looking for a specific machine in your branded colours or you need to source one in the original manufacturer’s colours, we can help.
We are able to offer fast turnaround on paint jobs on your access machinery, with our in-house paint refurbishment services, to get your machine looking good as new again in no time.
