    What is a LOLER?

LOLER stands for Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations and is a regulation that has been put in place to monitor the use of lifting equipment.

If you are working at height, then you are required by law to make sure that your aerial platforms are in safe working order and that your teams are trained to use them safely.

The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) state that:

“Aerial platforms must be inspected every 6 months, by a competent person, to ensure safety”

What happens if you don’t adhere to a LOLER?

It is a legal requirement to have an in-date LOLER for you access platforms and non-compliance with this is a criminal offence and may result in penalties or prosecution.

    Machine breakdowns

We are also able to cover machine breakdowns at an agreed additional cost. If you would like to discuss breakdown cover options further, then please get in touch.

    Service and LOLER background history

We are able to offer detailed service history on all our rental fleet, including LOLERs and pre-delivery inspection reports. This means that you are always safe in the knowledge that the machine you are buying has been maintained to the highest standards whilst in our fleet.

Our offering of the service and LOLER history shows where we have owned and operated the unit from new. Where we have bought the machine second hand, we can provide the service and LOLER history from when it was incorporated into our service & maintenance programme.

    Regular PDI reports

All the machines in the AFI rental fleet receive regular pre-delivery inspection reports.

A PDI or ‘Pre-delivery inspection’ is essentially a damage and functionality test that is carried out on every machine after every hire. This also should give you peace of mind that your machine is kept in the very best condition.

If you would like to find out more about how we can help service and maintain your machines and keep your team safe, then get in touch.
