AFI-Rentals has expanded its specialist spider lift fleet with the addition of a second 40m Hinowa TR40 spider lift, strengthening its UK-wide capability for complex, high-reach access projects.

The new TR40 joins AFI-Rentals’ growing fleet of high-performance tracked access platforms and will support customers across construction, facilities management, infrastructure, and heritage sectors. With two 40m Hinowa machines now available, AFI-Rentals can offer even greater availability for projects requiring significant working height in restricted or narrow-access environments.
The Hinowa TR40 is designed for challenging sites where space is limited but reach is essential. With a maximum working height of 40.20m, up-and-over clearance of 21.0m, and outreach of up to 17.5m, it provides a strong solution for high-level access where standard machines may not be suitable.
Key specifications include:
Max Working Height: 40.20m
Up & Over Clearance: 21.0m
Heavy-Duty Outreach: 16.5m with 300kg basket capacity
Maximum Outreach: 17.5m with 230kg basket capacity
Stowed Width: 1.20m, with tracks extending to 1.70m for stability
Machine Weight: 9,000kg
Power System: Bi-Energy
Matthew Dean commented:
“At 9,000kg with a Bi-Energy system, it’s a lot of machine to fit through a 1.2m gap. But when you need 40m of reach, and you’re working with width restrictions, there isn’t much else that competes.”
This latest investment follows AFI-Rentals’ recent addition of the TR39 Teupen LEO 39GT Plus, further enhancing the company’s high-reach spider lift offering for customers working in challenging site conditions and restricted access areas.
The expanded fleet supports AFI-Rentals’ commitment to providing specialist access solutions for demanding projects across the UK.
