First Aspen A-62 Underbridge Inspection Unit in Europe goes to Facelift
One of the UK's leading powered access specialists, Facelift (part of the AFI group of companies) is the first to order the Aspen A-62 Bridge Inspection Unit from Versalift. The Aspen A-62 enables operators to make optimal inspections, review bridge conditions from above, alongside, or below, and is purpose-built for European bridges. It will arrive early Q4 2021, to join Facelift’s established fleet of inspection and gantry underbridge units.
Mounted on a Volvo FM 420 8x4 sleeper cab, the Aspen A-62 features an interchangeable platform giving operators the flexibility to switch between a regular inspection basket and a work platform with two options;
Inspection Work – Featuring a horizontal under-bridge reach of 18.8m, a vertical reach down to 20.6m and a basket capacity of 272 kg.
3-stage Gantry Walkway – Featuring a 680 kg (5 person) capacity, and a movable step-up platform mounted on railing and providing 2.1m reach.
The Aspen A-62 features a heavy duty-generator to power the platform. No outriggers are required, and all counterweights stays within the width of the truck body so this unit can set up in a single lane of the carriageway. Two rotating turntables and multiple articulating and telescoping booms provide greater versatility on accessing structures.
The depot and sales teams will provide friendly and professional advice and support during every step of a hire, from site surveys, placing an order, and updating customers on delivery, off-hire and collection.
